Traveling by train is among the most environmentally friendly transport options, but vegetation along railways can pose safety risks. With over 30 years of railway expertise, we support vegetation managers through our Smart Weeding System (SWS), where we leverage advanced artificial intelligence to detect and target invasive plant species, applying herbicide only where needed – reducing usage by up to 70%. In 2024, SWS technology protected 53,000 km of European railways, with only half requiring actual treatment. This precise, sustainable approach not only enhances safety and efficiency but also helps control harmful species like Japanese knotweed, safeguarding people, infrastructure, and natural ecosystems.​
