Envu Partnering with Vivagro to Bring New Biorational Plant Protection Solution to Golf and Sports Turf Markets Across Europe
New fungicide to offer greenskeepers and sports turf managers a natural alternative for controlling dollar spot and snow mold.
Envu, a global environmental science company providing forward-thinking innovations that protect and enhance the health of environments around the world, today announced an exclusive partnership with plant-protection innovator Vivagro to develop a new biorational solution for the golf and sports turf markets.
Biorationals are derived from natural sources and designed to target specific pests while minimizing ecological impact. Envu has been researching bio-based technologies to complement its existing portfolio of leading turf management solutions and began collaborating with Vivagro to develop a biorational solution for control of dollar spot and snow mold. With increasing regulatory pressures across Europe, Envu shared its goal of offering greenskeepers and sports turf managers a more effective natural solution for combating the most impactful and prevalent turf diseases.
“As a company committed to balancing the needs of both our customers and nature, Envu is always on the lookout for new innovations that effectively get the job done with minimal impact,” said Bernard Jacqmin, chief innovation and regulatory officer at Envu. “We’re thrilled to work alongside Vivagro to bring greenskeepers and sports turf managers an exciting new biorational fungicide that will meet both of those criteria with impressive results.”
Vivagro is a pure player in designing innovative bio-based products for the agricultural market. Envu approached Vivagro because of the company’s expertise in plant protection, its effective solutions, and its commitment to the environment.
“We believe in the power of biorational solutions and see them as the future of pest management,” said Fabrice Lemarchand, managing director with Vivagro. “We were interested when Envu approached us and are happy to partner to bring our technology to other markets, like turf management, where it can make a meaningful contribution to new ground in protecting plants in a sustainable way.”
“This development supports our strategy to accelerate growth in complementary new markets alongside a specialist like Envu,” added Mélanie Corre, global marketing manager for Vivagro.
Envu has an exclusive agreement with Vivagro and has already done extensive development work with the technology, including conducting over 30 field trials across Europe.
“This new biorational fungicide is showing very promising results compared to both traditional and natural alternatives,” said Sophie Beillon, senior product manager for Envu in EMEA and LATAM. “We look forward to bringing it to greenskeepers and turf managers across Europe in the months and years ahead to help keep their turf healthy and playable.”
